I'm too much of a worry wort to let my dog off leash without an enclosed fence. I guess I feel a little less guilty since I always have foo foo dogs that really don't care :):) Will go watch video now.
There's definitely no blanket solution for all dogs. I believe a compassionate dog owner is one who knows their dogs well enough to understand their limits, and it sounds like you know and love yours :)
I love this! Not sure how your post popped up for me at a time when I have been exploring “home” for my next book. Thanks so much for sharing your travelogue with your sweet doggies.
I always pay attention. I will always love Momo. My long comment got lost in space earlier but the fact that I’m getting over my 2nd surgery in under 3 months , am on oxy, and am stunned by our election result has blurred my brain. I don’t know where the first comment went but the idea of moving to Canada is seeming more real all the time
. God bless all the dogs
Forever dogs- our angels
( as soon as my brain is straight I need 2 calendars ) I’ve given away the first tee I ordered - keep Em coming ❤️
I am such a believer in off-leash time for dogs. Fortunately my Border Collies seem to inherently want to be within sight of me. That makes hiking easy. My small little mix breed is good off leash 98% of the time. When he seems to be on the lookout for trouble (squirrel or bunny ), we leash up. So there is a bit more risk with him but I think I minimize it. Although..... he did leave the trail once to say hi to a bear in New Mexico......
It’s hard to feel anything but anxious as an American today but this brought me a sense a calm for a few moments. Thank you ✌🏼
The hug emoji has quickly risen to the top of my most used emojis. Sending love to ya 🫂
Hey Andrew, I already watched your YouTube video. Enjoyable, so there! Some people do pay attention.
Haha thank you so much Terry, I appreciate you!!
